Emotions are Stored In the Body - Writing Therapy, Journal Writing Prompts Therapy

When we have an emotional response, we may feel sensations in our gut, chest, throat, etc.  Indeed, our emotions are stored in our bodies.

Journal Writing Prompt:

Think of a situation in your life that evokes a noticeable negative emotion within you. As you become aware of that emotion, drop your attention away from your mind and feel where that emotion resides in your physical body. It may be in your chest, your gut, your throat, or any other part of your body. How do you experience that emotion on a visceral level?
